Here are some questions and answers about Weightsoles.
What makes them orthopaedic inserts?
Weightsoles have the design of an orthopaedic insert. They support the two longitudinal foot arches and have an anatomically shaped heel part to provide extra support for the heel fat pad. We have made the inserts rotationally stable to increase the stability of the foot and so that they reduce misalignment.
Why do the Weightsoles weigh 227g?
The weight is designed to give maximum effect without creating a weight that may pose a risk of unnecessary strain injury.
How was the Weightsoles study carried out?
The study was conducted by Michael Svensson, MD, sports physiologist at OneMetrics. The test subjects were tested at eight different speeds for 40 minutes of walking and running on two different occasions. With and without weighted insoles. This was to measure the difference in load and the effects.
When will I see results from this product?
The effect starts almost immediately, but according to the study, you get the best effect after about 30-35 minutes of exercise. (During running) Improved results are usually seen at different time intervals for different types of exercise/sporting activities.
I get blisters when I use my Weightsoles. What am I doing wrong?
The most common mistake made which can cause blisters when using Weightsoles is that you have either forgotten to take out the sole that is already in shoe (this sole is replaced with Weightsoles), and/or forgotten to re-lace the shoes so that the shoes aren’t too tight over the foot. For some feet the shoes need to be changed because, for example, the heel grip is too low.
Are Weightsoles thicker than an ordinary insole?
Weightsoles are marginally thicker than an ordinary insole; in other words, you won’t notice any difference.
If I am between two shoe sizes (e.g.38.5), what size should I order?
In that case we recommend that you order a smaller size as the sizes are bigger rather than smaller.
I can't get my Weightsoles into my trainers. What am I doing wrong?
The most common reason for not being able to fit the Weightsoles into the shoes is that you have either forgotten to take out the sole that is already in shoe, and/or not untied the shoes properly. Weightsoles may be too wide to fit into some unusually narrow shoe types.
Can I use Weightsoles if I'm pregnant?
There is no problem at all with using Weightsoles when you are pregnant as it is a gentle exercise tool. Just like with the other exercise, start by using the weighted insoles for 2-3 hours on the first occasion and then increase the use.
Can I use Weightsoles if I have heel spurs?
It is very good to use Weightsoles with heel spurs because Weightsoles is an orthopaedic insert, thus providing good support and shock absorption for the foot in a gentle way.
In which shoes can I use my Weightsoles?
Weightsoles can be used in most shoes that have an insole but are best used in a pair of trainers.
